Soutenir
le travail des femmes
photoreporter et contribuer à la production indépendante
de reportages approfondis et de qualité sont les deux objectifs
qui ont amené l’Association des Femmes Journalistes à
créer ce Prix, qui, à la manière d’une bourse,
finance chaque année la réalisation d’un projet. Depuis
neuf ans, grâce au partenariat de Canon
France, qui dote le prix d’un montant de 8000 Euros et du Festival
international de photojournalisme Visa pour l’Image, qui accueille la
remise du prix, expose le travail des lauréates et assure une
visibilité mondiale au prix, les femmes photojournalistes du
monde entier peuvent se porter candidates et voir un de leur projet
soutenu. Le Figaro Magazine a rejoint nos partenaires en 2006.
To support the female photojournalists work and help large scale and high quality stories independent production are the French Association des Femmes Journalistes (AFJ) main goals. Every year since 2001 the Canon/AFJ award gives a female photojournalist the opportunity to finance her project. For the past nine years, the Canon France partnership has enabled eight women to produce their work thanks to an award of 8000 Euros. The international Festival Visa pour l’Image, which organizes the award evening as well as the winner’s story exhibition, allows candidates throughout the world to present their work and have a large visibility. Since 2006 Le Figaro Magazine supports the awards.
